Vision

The Ubuntu Gnome Remix will be a mix of the best of GNOME and Ubuntu. It's GNOME and open source roots will be very apparent.

Compatability for both classic GNOME (what Ubuntu has used for years) and GNOME3 (a brand new interface that is made of awesome) will be maintained.

One day, we hope this will become an official Ubuntu distribution, possibly under the name Gubuntu. Note we cannot use that name currently due to Ubuntu trademark restrictions.
